Leaving Chattanooga...

Despite the Griz's loss, we still had a good time in TN. Dylan had a blast in the hotels -- crawling from chair to bed to chair, checking out the mirror, and even taking care of the bill for us! We left on Saturday morning saying our goodbyes at Cracker Barrel, then started our trek back home to MD -- with news of a blizzard hitting the DC area the same day. The roads were great for the most part. We did hit a stand-still on Saturday night -- taking us 3 hrs to go 16 miles! Ugh! So after we made it through that, we opted to stop at a hotel in Roanoke, VA. We rose early Sunday morning and were leaving the parking lot of the hotel, when we came across another "traffic jam". The FedX truck was stuck on the hill leaving the hotel and a bunch of cars were parked or stuck around it. Matt went down the hill and saved the day! :) He helped get a tug and direct a lady who was stuck in her 2-wheel drive pick-up-truck in the snow. An hour later, we were finally on the road. We made it home safe and sound -- and exhausted... ....And then we had to deal with the aftermath of the blizzard: about 20 inches of snow! :)
