Bye to Eddie

We had to make an extremely difficult decision recently - perhaps the hardest either of us has ever had to make. We had to say goodbye to Eddie. Bottom line was that Eddie would be happiest in a one-dog home. We love him so very much and really wanted the best for him. It wouldn't have been fair to him if we kept him. So this weekend, thanks to some good friends of ours (Cathy & Steve), we were introduced to Nate and Megan. They just moved into a house in DC and were looking for a big dog like Eddie to go running with, play with, and be a member of their family. After meeting Nate & Megan, it seemed like a perfect match! They fell in love with Eddie (just as we fell in love with Murphy when we rescued him). We shed our tears goodbye, but know he is in an awesome home!!! Here's to a wonderful 2 1/2 years with Eddie:
