I apologize for the lack of posts this past week. Matt's Mom left about a week ago, and we have been super busy ever since. She helped out so much with Parker, with cooking dinners every night, and keeping the house clean and laundry done. We were spoiled!!! Thanks Mom Gerking!!! So needless to say, the past week or so, our spare time has been pretty limited -- hence the lack of blogs. :) So here's some updates....
Parker is getting so big and growing like a weed! He's found two of his fingers and loves to shove those in his mouth.
He's rolled over one time from his back to belly, but we have yet to catch him doing it again. When he's in his swing or bouncer seat, he tries to pull himself forward. Big time ab workout there!!
Dylan is getting so big too. He could play for hours with his train set. Here he decided to use the countertop space for his trains :)
Dylan knows all his letters, most of his numbers, and some (or all) of his colors depending on his mood. :) We have been having lots of fun playing "I Spy" in the car. He's really good at finding the school buses, dump trucks, and "octagons" (stop signs) :)
Matt and I went to a
Love and Respect Conference this past weekend. We happened to see it advertised at one of the churches near our house and figured it couldn't hurt to try it out. And we are SO glad we did!! We really weren't sure what to expect when we signed up, but since life's been pretty hectic for us lately (with two kids and working full time) we thought we'd give it a go! It turned out to be one of the best decisions we could have made. We both now have a renewed energy about us as individuals, us as a couple, our marriage, our kids, and our faith! It was a very-well-spent $30 :)
