Spillers Visit

Gina, Sam, Kallin and Justin were out for a week to visit (hence my lack of posting this past week). We were able to spend a lot of fun time together and they were also able to do some sightseeing as well. They fit in some jam-packed days, but had a great time. Friday we just hung out at the house while Matt was at work. Afterward we went to dinner at Urban BBQ. Kallin got a fried twinkie for dessert... and yes, that's Dylan's hand trying to grab the cherry!! :)
Saturday they all went down to DC to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and Museum of American History. I stayed home with Dylan and Parker since an all-day outing in DC wouldn't be very conducive with boys who still need naps! :) Sunday the Spillers went to Mount Vernon and Georgetown Cupcakes. The line was 1.5 hours to get a cupcake, but it was definitely worth it! :) Monday they went to the Air & Space Museum. Tuesday was a private Capital Tour, which was amazing! They then finished up the day on Tuesday with a double-decker tour bus driving around DC. And Wednesday they visited the Bureau of Print & Engraving, the Holocaust Museum, the Lincoln Memorial and a stop at the White House! They also were able to see a motorcade in action, which is always fun to watch.

All-in-all we had a great time with them visiting. Dylan will definitely miss singing songs, playing cars, and building blocks with "Aunt Ginga" and Kallin & Justin. Maybe soon Dylan will learn how to make a "muscle" like Uncle Sam was trying to show him. :) Parker will miss all the cuddle-time with his relatives. I have lots more pictures to post, which I will do soon, but in the meantime -- we are wishing them a safe trip back to Washington. We miss you guys! Love you!!
