Trip to Frederick

Two weekends ago we decided to take a road trip to Frederick. Initially what started as a plan to check out campers and sheds turned into a driving-sightseeing tour of two State Parks -- a much cheaper option! ;) Here's some pictures of when we got out to stretch our legs for a few minutes.

After driving around we went to a visitors center where Dylan got to see some turtles, owls, and hawks. He was very excited. We then headed to my brother and sister-in-law's house to visit with them, see the progress they've made on the house and the nursery. It all looks great, but I -- of course -- forgot my camera then! Sorry.

We had a great day trip though. The one thing we did learn though was that Parker HATES car rides!!!!!!!!!! And by "long" I mean anything more than 40 min!!!! He was getting so hot in his car seat - despite the A/C on AND fanning him. He did not want to be confined anymore -- he wanted to be out and crawling and playing. He ended up making himself sick because he was so upset. Poor guy. This has definitely altered our future travel plans. We will have to think twice now about traveling!! Yikes!
