Life's Little Moments: Santa, a Party, Puppets, and a Fire Truck

The first weekend in December was a very busy one for us. On Saturday morning, Dylan and Parker and I went to our church for Breakfast with Santa. It was packed, but we finally found seats and Dylan and Parker ate beautifully! Dylan told me on the way there that he was going to talk to Santa, but that thought was very short-lived the second he saw Santa! ;) He wanted NOTHING to do with him!! Parker sat on Santa's lap, but was a bit in awe of his beard so he wouldn't smile. He just stared at him with a look like "who are you?!?!" Haha...

After that, we headed over to my parent's house so they could watch the boys while I went to Matt's holiday party for the Army Reserves. Matt had been very busy planning and organizing the holiday party for weeks, and he did AMAZING! Planning a gathering for over a 100 people isn't an easy job! I was so proud of him and how everything turned out.

Then on Sunday evening, we went to church again to watch a puppet show. Dylan really enjoyed all the action. Afterwards, he was asked if he saw baby Jesus in the puppet show; his response: YEA!!! He then was asked if he saw a shephard; and he again responded YEA!!! A few more questions about sheep, Mary, donkeys... all with the same response: YEA!!! Then he was asked if he saw the Easter Bunny... his response: YEA!!! :) :) Ummm not sure which puppets he was watching! Hahaha!

Sunday evening we went to the main entrance of our development. Every year our neighborhood does a Tree Lighting Ceremony with an appearance from Santa Claus on a fire truck! This is a pretty big deal in the Goodnough household. So this year, we bundled up the boys and headed to watch for Santa! I wasn't prepared with my camera, but here you can (kinda) see Santa climbing down from the fire truck!

Dylan had absolutely NO desire to see Santa this year, and instead was WAY more interested in the fire truck and ambulance that came by! Here's Daddy and Dylan near Santa's Wagon.
