Baby Shower

On Saturday we had our baby shower - thrown by my cousin Carla and help from my mom. It was a lot of fun!! We had a couples' shower and many of our friends and family were able to attend. We hung out with everyone, socialized, watched football, opened gifts, and ate dinner and dessert. It went perfectly!! :) Thanks to my short twin (Carla), her family, and my family for all your hard work!! We really appreciate it. :)

At the shower we had fun opening gifts. Matt was especially excited about the bath/sun visors for the baby. He wanted these visors pretty bad when we were registering (this way the baby won't get suds in their eyes when we are bathing them). Well at the party, he got his wish -- and he even modeled them for us! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for making Matt's day! :) Another one of Matt's favorites' was the jogging/walking stroller made by Jeep. It has huge tires and shocks, so Matt was in heaven! When we took it home to assemble it, the dogs were a bit curious about the new toys we had. Every single squeaker or rattling sound, they tried to be right in the middle of it. :) My cousin Meghan, who is in Madagascar now with the Peace Corps, even managed to have a gift for us. She re-gifted some of the items we gave HER for her going-away party -- including my new "diaper bag"! It was hysterical. Although she may find those gifts back in her hands one day. :) All of the gifts we received were so generous of everyone and will definitely help out when the baby comes. Just a few more last-minute details and then we will be all set for Baby Goodnough to arrive! :)
