Parker got 3 shots and one oral vaccination. Poor guy was NOT happy! Here's his stats:
Height: 26.75 inches (60th percentile)
Weight: 17lbs, 12.1oz (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 44cm (60th percentile)
Although I definitely DON'T trust the head circumference measurement. Parker was a little wiggle-worm and the nurse had to measure it a few times before she got it "right". And a 1/2 cm difference in measurement can change the percentile significantly! Despite all those stats being average, Parker feels much more solid than Dylan ever was. He probably is as wide around as Dylan is currently! Overall Parker has changed so much in the past few months. He LOVES bath time now. He kicks and splashes so much that we had to move the bathtub from the kitchen counter into the bathroom because he was completely soaking the kitchen cabinets! His thighs are a bit chunky and he's gotten his legs stuck out of the crib on more than one occasion. The crib bumper doesn't work since he rolls, kicks and moves too much for it to even stay in place! So unfortunately we have to deal with a few screams in the middle of the night when he's stuck! :)
The past few weeks Parker has FINALLY started to show some consistency sleeping through the night getting about 8 hours, but I don't think we aren't in the clear just yet. Teething, legs stuck, lots of visitors, and schedule changes have all thrown him for a loop the past few months.
Parker had two bottom teeth poke through in the past week, but I have yet to get a picture of it since he prefers to stick his tongue out all the time! :) He's eating a lot more solid foods now. So far he's tried carrots, acorn squash, sweet potatoes, apples, bananas, peaches, peas, and chicken. He seems to like everything so far, although the different textures of food make him cringe a bit -- peas and bananas are the worst, but he still keeps opening his mouth for more. :) Since we make almost all the babyfood ourselves from fresh fruits and veggies, it is impossible to get a perfectly smooth pureed mixture -- hence a few funny faces from Parker.
He can roll both ways, spin around on his belly, a sit in tripod position for few seconds. His favorite toy now are the rings. And he's discovered the baby in the mirror! :) He screams, squeals, laughs, and coos. No first words yet, but I'm sure that will come soon. Dylan is one of the best people at making Parker laugh! It is so cute!! I cant wait to see what the next 6 months will bring!
