We continued to drive lots of miles in the minivan -- staying in 5 different places over the course of 6 nights. It was a whirlwind trip, somewhat challenging with two kids and all the stuff they come with (pack-n-plays, food, clothes, etc), but we are glad we went. Parker was pretty funny in his carseat -- taking full advantage of all the extra room!
We saw Dad-Dale and Brenda's husband, Chris, briefly for lunch -- to drop off Adam and say bye to Brenda. Dad Dale had fun playing with the kids in the rocking chairs at Cracker Barrel. It's obvious he loves these kids so much!! :) It really makes my heart happy to see him taking such an active role in their life. Love you Dad Dale!
We then left Fort Collins/Loveland area and headed to Denver to visit my friend from high school -- Jeanne. We took a brief stop at a park and Dylan got to play with a "real" digger! How cool is that?!!?
We spent the evening with Jeanne and her husband. So nice to catch up! They have such a beautiful home! And the boys had fun re-doing the landscape in the yard -- doing holes and moving dirt! Haha. Thankfully Jeanne and Brian were great sports about their newly designed landscape by Dylan and Parker.
The boys got really good about packing up each night. Even helping dad haul all the luggage, coolers, pack-n-play, and toys in and out the whole week.
We then headed to Colorado Springs and spent the afternoon with a friend of mine from when I worked in CO: Marnie and her two beautiful kids!
I'm pretty sure Matt got tired before any one of these four kids! So fun :)
We spent our last night at Pam and John's house. It was awesome! They have a beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood! And best of all, two wonderful kids who helped keep my boys entertained. Alyssa was a rockstar! She stayed with Parker while he went down the slide about 8,365,936 times!! She even set up a cushion for him to land on -- what a sweetheart!
The kids played soccer....
Love this picture! :)
Nathan was so kind to lend Dylan his remote control car. WOW! Such entertainment!
The next morning, we let the kids burn some energy before our flight home. The trampoline was the winner! They LOVED it!!
Our flight home was similar to the flight out. Kids were great until the last 20 minutes or so. But we survived! :) All-in-all a great trip. Hope to visit again soon!
And now our excitement turns to seeing our kitchen!!!! Our kitchen remodel began while we were in Colorado. Pictures to follow soon....
