It is Restaurant Week in DC right now. This is where many of the restaurants in the DC area offer lunch for $20.11 and dinners for $35.11. So you can pick some of the fanciest and most expensive places in town and get a 3 or 4 course meal for quite a deal. We have missed it every year for one reason or another. So this time, we made sure to make reservations. My parents came over on Friday night to watch the boys and we headed out to the Melting Pot. :) The food was wonderful. We had a cheese dip appetizer, a salad, and various meats & veggies for the entree.
It was wonderful to spend some time together with just the two of us.
The food was delicious and we were so stuffed by dessert, but managed to make some extra room! The way they make the dessert (Chocolate Smores) was really neat because it went from a fire ...
to a marshmallow blob ...
to amazing deliciousness in a matter of seconds! :)
Can't wait to do a date night again soon!! :)
