Plantar Box

As you walk up the steps to our house, there is a large brick plantar box. Since we moved in, we hadn't had time to do any landscaping to it, so it quickly became a huge overgrown mess.

From farther away, it wasn't quite so bad, but definitely not good!

 My wonderful husband dug it all out and then sprayed it with mega-bug killer since it was infested with lots of creepy-crawly things. I found some pretty flowers to put there -- at least temporarily -- to spruce it up a bit.

We haven't quite figured out exactly what to do with this space in the long run, but at least for the time being it looks a lot better.
